Second Step / part 1: How to write your professional CV

Jobs in Egypt

A good CV is a self-marketing tool – a kind of personal advertisement – that shows off your skills and their values to a future employer. The main purpose of a CV is to help you get a job interview.

When you apply for jobs in Egypt and send your CV via E-mail as an attachment you must follow these tips
  1. Your CV must be without any typos or grammatical errors. (Not even one) Because the Employers won’t even consider candidate that they don’t appear qualified at the first view.
  2. Use a basic font and remove the formatting, “simple is best”.
  3. Do not use contractions like: (I'd, didn't, it's).
  4. You must write your CV targeted to each position you apply for and write the job that you are applying for in the objective section. (I prefer making a different CV for each vacancy you will apply for).
  5. Save your CV with your name so they don't get mixed up with other candidates, For Example: BassemOsamaCV.doc … etc.
  6. Also save your CV in the PDF format or the doc format (make it with Microsoft word 2003 or older), don’t save it in the docx format (Microsoft word 2007 or earlier) because may be the interviewer doesn’t have the last version of Microsoft office on his computer.
  7. Put the job title that you apply for in the message subject.
