Description 1. Attend and chair production meeting for scheduled events supported by CTMS.
2. Supervise all CTMS Event Support staff and conduct hiring.
3. Participate in the planning, budgeting and purchase of equipment and supplies for CTMS.
4. Manage the coordination of event scheduling at AUC within CTMS and with other event support units on campus.
5. Manage the assessment and evaluation of production needs for presenting groups and clients.
6. Lead the development of training for current and future staff and students on the setup and operation of all CTMS event support technology.
7. Assist in the development of equipment life-cycle repair and replacement schedules CTMS equipment.
8. Establish and maintain a basic stage hardware inventory.
9. Ensure CTMS venues are fully operational by coordinating repairs, maintenance, or replacement with appropriate service providers and vendors.
10.Develop an event support operation manual for CTMS.
11.Complete additional duties and task as assigned by the Director of CTMS.
12.Develop and maintain processes for accepting and scheduling events, allocating equipment, allocating personnel, and advising clients of CTMS timeline for support.
13.Establish work safety protocols with AUC environmental safety.
14.Develop draft, hang and focus a repertory light plot for major theatre venues operated by CTMS.
Qualifications 1. Knowledge of safe rigging practices.
2. Basic operation of audio equipment in a multi-microphone environment using a range of wired and wireless microphones, mixers, speaker, and processors.
3. Advanced skill in carpentry, welding and mechanics.
4. Knowledge of technical drawing done by hand or computer aided design software.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong writing skills required.
6. Basic knowledge of electrical theory.
7. Independent project management skills and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to organize resources, budget management, establish priorities and manage tight deadlines.
8. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, staff and students and develop and maintain favorable external and internal partnerships with the various constituencies of AUC.
9. Experience teaching and working in the Middle East and/or Gulf Region.
Experience 10-15 Years.
Other Skills 1. Ability to quickly troubleshoot and problem solve mechanical system malfunctions.
2. Ability to build scenery and props needed to support PVA events, instructional and presentation activities.
3. Able to perform in productions and related activities in the field.
4. Ability to work as part of a team.
5. Ability to work well with service departments.
6. Operational proficiency in all equipment and services described in Principal Accountabilities above.
6. Able to lift 25 kilograms (55 pounds) to a height of 1 meter.
